今年九月，苏欧德第一次访问广东，参观了深圳和东莞。而他的第二次广东之旅，首站就选择了中山大学。
On November 19, Sun Yat-sen University, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, welcomed a distinguished guest—Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. This marks Sheikh Saud's second visit to Guangdong after his first trip in September, during which he toured Shenzhen and Dongguan. For his return, Sun Yat-sen University was the first stop on his itinerary.

During his visit, Sheikh Saud engaged in in-depth discussions with university leaders on topics such as education, healthcare, culture, and talent development. He also shared his unique perspectives on global cooperation and cultural exchange in a dialogue with student representatives. Encouraging the students to embrace future challenges, Sheikh Saud called on them to act as bridges for future China-UAE collaboration.

Recently, Sheikh Saud sat down for an exclusive interview with Daily Bae in Ras Al Khaimah. During the interview, he highlighted the strong relationship between Ras Al Khaimah and Guangdong, noting the significant achievements in various sectors and the vast potential for further expansion. He expressed his strong optimism about the future of China-UAE relations, emphasizing that under the Belt and Road Initiative, the cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah, Guangdong, and China hold great promise. Sheikh Saud reiterated that Ras Al Khaimah remains committed to providing a welcoming and open investment environment for Chinese businesses, fostering joint progress in sustainable development and innovation.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi underscored the importance of China-UAE cooperation in an exclusive interview with Daily Bae in Ras Al Khaimah. He expressed strong optimism about the future of their partnership, noting that with China being the UAE’s largest trading partner, the prospects for further collaboration are promising.
苏欧德提到，今年是中阿建交40周年，但在哈伊马角朱尔法遗址发现的中国陶瓷器表明，哈伊马角与中国的关系历史悠久，两地自古以来就有频繁的贸易联系。苏欧德还回顾了他九月份的广东之旅，谈及在深圳和东莞的见闻时，他表示他深受广东经济发展的启发，并对广东改革开放取得的辉煌成就赞叹不已。他指出，这为哈伊马角的发展提供了宝贵的借鉴。
Sheikh Saud also reflected on the fact that this year marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and the UAE. However, he pointed out that the discovery of Chinese ceramics at several archaeological sites in Ras Al Khaimah reveals a much deeper historical connection, with trade between the two sides dating back centuries. Recalling his visit to Guangdong in September, Sheikh Saud spoke about the profound inspiration he drew from the region’s economic growth. He praised Guangdong’s achievements in reform and opening-up, describing them as a valuable model for Ras Al Khaimah’s development.

苏欧德还强调了广东与哈伊马角的紧密历史联系，认为两地的合作潜力巨大，他期待更多中国企业前往哈伊马角，推动双方建立更加深厚的合作关系。
Sheikh Saud emphasised the strong historical ties between Guangdong and Ras Al Khaimah and highlighted the vast potential for future collaboration. He expressed a keen interest in seeing more Chinese businesses establish a presence in Ras Al Khaimah, further strengthening the partnership between the two sides.
苏欧德还提到，交通的便捷和双方交流的畅通证明了两国紧密的合作，特别是阿联酋航空增加航班往返中国，进一步巩固了伙伴关系。他以14世纪摩洛哥旅行家伊本·白图泰为例子，他说当年白图泰要花费数年才抵达中国，现如今，从阿联酋飞到中国只需要8个小时。苏欧德强调，哈伊马角已经准备好与中国进行更广泛的合作，迈向更加繁荣的未来。
Sheikh Saud also pointed out that the convenience of travel and the ease of communication between the UAE and China reflect the growing closeness of their relationship. He specifically noted the increased number of flights between the two countries, with Emirates airline a pivotal role in enhancing connectivity. Reflecting on the 14th-century Moroccan traveller Ibn Battuta, who took several years to reach China, Sheikh Saud remarked that today, a flight from the UAE to China takes just eight hours. He stressed that Ras Al Khaimah is fully prepared for broader cooperation with China and looks forward to a future of mutual prosperity.
