10月8日，广东实验中学（下称“省实”）白云校区的音乐厅里传出一阵阵悠扬的歌声。省实合唱团和美国纽约青少年合唱团的师生们在这里交流切磋，共同排练。这也是两个合唱团自2023年9月“云合唱”之后，第一次线下见面。
今年是中美建交45周年。在广东省人民对外友好协会指导下，应广东实验中学邀请，美国纽约青少年合唱团师生45人于10月5日至13日访粤。10月8日，纽约青少年合唱团来到省实交流学习。
A delegation of 39 American youth from the Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) started their visit to Guangzhou, Guangdong Province on October 7, 2024.
"That was a really amazing, awe-inspiring experience for me. Just hearing such beautiful sounds coming from basically the other side of the world is so incredible," said Ansan Friedman, a YPC member, after the Guangdong Experimental Middle School Choir greeted the American youth delegation with a chorus performance.
He told reporters that this is his first visit to China, and this experience has given him new perspectives. "I always thought Chinese people were shy and more reserved. But when I got here, people were so friendly. It was so easy to talk to them. And it was really great to see that because I was kind of scared."
The YPC delegation will exchange with local youth, have a joint performance with the Guangdong Experimental Middle School Choir, and visit popular tourist attractions in Guangzhou until October 11, 2024.
“HUGE! BEAUTIFUL! ADVANCED!”
These were just some of the reactions from the Young People's Chorus of New York City as they toured the sprawling Guangdong Experimental Middle School in Guangzhou.
From pausing in the traditional Chinese music classroom to break out in dance in the dance studio, belting out songs in the choir room, and feasting in the cafeteria, these energetic young performers had a blast!

纽约青少年合唱团是一个多元文化青少年合唱团，由麦克阿瑟奖获得者、Musical America 2018年度教育工作者弗朗西斯科·J·努涅斯（Francisco J. Nunez）于30多年前创立，被公认为世界顶尖合唱团之一。2023年，该合唱团在第十二届世界合唱比赛中获得3个冠军。
广东实验中学合唱团成立于1952年，前身为中山大学附中歌咏队，至今已有70多年历史，是该校开展校园文化建设和素质教育的重要组成部分，曾在世界合唱比赛中斩获13个世界冠军。
这两个冠军合唱团并非初次相识。
2023年9月，省实合唱团就与纽约青少年合唱团首度携手，在国际和平日进行“云合唱”，共同演绎原创主题曲《愿行海上》。
“去年我们在视频上看到了彼此，但此时此刻大家共处一室，成为很好的朋友，这种缘分很美妙。”努涅斯说，美丽的广东实验中学让孩子们大开眼界，惊讶不已，期待明年省实合唱团的师生也可以到纽约去交流。
今晚（10月9日），两个顶级青少年合唱团会在“2024世界湾区合唱之桥（广州）交流音乐会”上同台演出。
“这不只是一场音乐会，也是友谊的体现，这些孩子因为音乐走到一起，并对彼此产生了巨大的影响。”努涅斯说，这场音乐会叫“合唱之桥”，“桥”就是让这些年轻的孩子有机会站在一起，互相交流，共同成长。
纽约青少年合唱团的成员西尔维·苏斯金（Sylvie Suskin）第一次来到中国，“中国音乐和西方音乐有很多相似之处，也有不同的地方，但中国的历史更加悠久，有很多令人印象深刻的文化内涵。”
当天，省实合唱团还和纽约青年合唱团互换礼物。省实为纽约青少年送上了学校新生礼物，还准备了穿着省实标志衣服的小熊。纽约合唱团则带来了一本关于纽约的摄影集和咖啡等。
“今年是省实建校100周年校庆，我们有幸共同见证一段跨越大洋的友谊佳话。青少年是两国的未来，是连接两国民心的桥梁和纽带。”省实党委书记全汉炎说，此次交流不仅是一次音乐之旅，更是一场心灵的对话和一次文化的交融。
