On the third day of the National Day holiday (October 3rd), preliminary estimates suggest that provincial 4A-level and above tourist attractions received 3.856 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 6.8% based on comparable data; 100 monitored rural tourism spots and historical villages welcomed 406,000 visitors, marking a 2.7% increase from the previous year. During the holiday, major cultural and museum venues in Guangdong have been hosting a variety of activities, including launching new exhibitions, extending opening hours, and introducing a series of festive-themed events, all designed to provide visitors with a warm and engaging experience.
Among them, the Guangzhou Maritime Museum's new exhibition "Caton Trade, Botanical Paintings, and Cultural Exchange in the 18th-19th Century" takes a unique perspective, narrating the experiences of Huang Dong, a Qing Dynasty "servant" in Guangzhou, from his perspective in memoir form. It tells the story of his interactions with international friend John Bradby Blake, showcasing the prosperous scene of Guangzhou as an important node on the Maritime Silk Road in the 18th century.
The recent hot exhibition at the Nanyue King Museum, "The Aroma of Liquor Spreads Across the Seas - The Song Dynasty Guangzhou Envoy Liquor Warehouse and Chinese Liquor Culture," delves into the discovery and study of the Song Dynasty's Guangzhou Envoy Liquor Warehouse, telling the story of Guangzhou's liquor vessels, famous types of liquor, and their indissoluble bond with the Maritime Silk Road.
The Guangdong Museum of Folk Arts has also introduced new exhibits for the National Day holiday, showcasing 110 handcrafted red clay teapots created by Guangdong Arts and Crafts Master Zhang Ruizhuan and his students.
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Guangzhou, the Guangzhou Museum is displaying the first five-star red flag of Guangzhou after liberation from October 1st to October 31st for the first time in full frame.
It has been reported that over 3,000 cultural events, ranging from museum exhibitions to artistic performances and intangible cultural heritage experiences, are being organized across the province during the National Day holiday.

博物馆成国庆假期热门“打卡”地
国庆假期第三天(10月3日),据初步测算,全省4A级及以上景区接待游客385.6万人次,按可比口径同比增长6.8%;纳入监测的100个乡村旅游点和历史古村落接待40.6万人次,同比增长2.7%。假期里广东各大文博场馆纷纷花式“整活”,上新精品展览、延长开放时长、推出系列节庆主题活动,用贴心和细致的服务迎来一波参观热潮。
其中,广州海事博物馆新展《遇见黄东:一个清代广州“事仔”的大世界》另辟蹊径,以一位清代广州“事仔”黄东的视角,用回忆录的形式讲述其与国际友人约翰·布莱德比·布莱克的交往经历,展现了18世纪广州作为海上丝绸之路重要节点的繁荣景象。
南越王博物院近期热展《酒香飘四海——宋代广州公使酒库与中国酒文化》以宋代广州公使酒库的发现和研究为切入点,讲述了广州酒器、名酒与海上丝绸之路的不解之缘。
广东民间工艺博物馆在国庆假期“上新”,广东省工艺美术大师张瑞端师生创作的110件手拉朱泥壶作品与观众见面。
广州博物馆为了庆祝中华人民共和国75周年华诞,并纪念广州解放75周年,于10月1日至10月31日,首次全画幅展示广州解放后的第一面五星红旗。
记者了解到,国庆假期全省在景区和各类展览、演出及公共场所组织举办涵盖文博展览、文艺演出、非遗体验等主题在内的3000多项文艺活动。
