CAS Space, a rocket maker owned by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and operating in Guangzhou's Nansha District, conducted the fourth flight of its Kinetica 1 rocket model, formerly known as ZK 1A, on Wednesday morning.
The Kinetica 1-Y4 rocket lifted off at 7:33 am from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China's Gobi Desert and then placed five satellites into their preset orbit, the company said in a news release.
The "Y4" in the designation code means it was the fourth in the rocket series.
The Kinetica 1 type conducted its debut flight at the Jiuquan center in July 2022, becoming the country's largest and most powerful solid-propellant rocket by that time. Its second launch took place in June 2023 and transported 26 satellites into space. The third flight happened in January to deploy five satellites.

The rocket model has a length of 30 meters, a diameter of 2.65 meters, and a liftoff weight of 135 metric tons. It is capable of sending satellites with a combined weight of 1.5 tons to a typical sun-synchronous orbit about 500 kilometers above Earth.
By now, The Kinetica 1 has deployed 42 satellites in space, boasting a 100-percent success rate.
CAS Space has begun to develop a new rocket, Kinetica 2, and plans to conduct the new type's maiden flight in 2025.
The company has built a rocket plant in Guangzhou's Nansha district, the first of its kind in South China's Guangdong province, and is currently constructing a rocket engine testing facility in Aotou township in Guangzhou.

是中科卫星科技集团有限公司投资研制的合成孔径雷达遥感卫星，研制总体单位为哈尔滨工大卫星技术有限公司。两颗卫星主要载荷为Ku频段合成孔径雷达，是AIRSAT星座的首发卫星。卫星具备优于1m分辨率对地遥感成像的能力，主要用于全天时、全天候高分辨率对地微波遥感成像，验证平板式SAR卫星、可展开式柱状反射面SAR天线等新技术。
吉林一号SAR01A星
由长光卫星技术股份有限公司研制，属于吉林一号卫星星座，是一颗X频段微波遥感载荷卫星，主要任务是获取对地观测微波遥感影像，可实现亚米级分辨率连续条带成像，具备左右侧视电扫成像能力，能够全天候和全天时实现全球陆地和海洋信息的监视监测，为用户提供态势分析、目标监视、区域普察、地物分类等遥感信息服务。
云遥一号21、22星
是天津云遥宇航科技有限公司云遥气象星座的两颗卫星，两颗卫星状态一致，卫星有效载荷为GNSS掩星探测载荷，通过对GNSS掩星数据反演可得到大气层温、湿、压以及电离层电子密度。云遥气象星座卫星具有研制周期短、集成度高、重量轻、体积小、性价比高等特点。
